After some negotiation, a price was agreed to by both parties and the property was unconditionally sold the day it formally hit the market.
It really can pay to have a relationship with an agent when you are starting your search for a property. Waiting for homes to 'hit the net' or 'come up for an open home' can often be a story of too little, too late. Great agents will nearly always go their database of prequalified buyers when they are listing a new property for sale, and the buyers who are happy to form a relationship with their agents, get themselves pre-approved for finance and show they are serious about securing a property, will just about always get first pick at new homes coming to the market. This sale is a prime example.
